Senior Design Engineer – Cambridge

Our Client.

A design and manufacturing client within the consumer product market, based in Cambridge operating from their state-of-the-art centre of excellence where you can be part of the journey from start to finish.

The Role & Responsibilities.

You will be looking at concept generation and prototyping, product development and working closely with manufacturing.

This will give you the chance to work on the early creation of concept designs, leading the design for manufacture and engaging others in getting project work across the line.

There will be a level of expectation for you to work individually and alongside other Designers and in some cases manage the wider team of design/project engineers.

What our client is looking for?

A qualified mechanical engineer, with over 5 years experience and ideally in the consumer product market place. A designer with experience of working through concept, development and getting items out to market is what we need here.

Extensive/proficiency in 3D CAD is a must, if you have not worked with consumer products experience within medical, electromechanical or electronics packaging markets will be extremely advantageous.

We would like to see some experience demonstrated of previous leadership direct or indirect as you will as stated above need to sometimes take that level of responsibility for the teams in projects.

Package (based on experience).

£50,000 to £55,000 per annum plus benefits
