Profectus has partnered with an Asset Management organisation based near Newbury.  Established in the early 90’s they are a small business however operate globally. 

Due to an increase in demand from their international clients they are seeking a Application Support Developer however the job title doesn’t tell the whole story as the position encompasses many aspects making it a truly unique opportunity.

The position fundamentally is to provide a professional inhouse support for the ongoing development (.Net / C#) and refinement of their products. As the position is so varied it will require both a technical mindset and communicative skills to collaborate with the development, delivery, and business stakeholders. A willingness to get involved in whatever needs to be done is required, to suggest and follow through on good ideas with common sense, energy and maturity.

The successful candidate will be capable of managing and implementing

• Programme management support of new software product development projects, existing product maintenance and upgrades
• Hands-on software development and maintenance of DST products within technical capabilities e.g. user interface corrections/refinements. NB specialist external contractors are used for major work, so close collaboration with them is essential.
• Production, testing and shipping/downloads of software installation media, and establishment and operation of licensing systems.
• Receive and respond effectively to client technical support requests
• Logistics support, including video conferencing for DSTL and TWPL consultants.
• Licensee records and management of issued licenses, current status, client configurations & technical support records.
• Administration of the DSTL and TWPL’s own IT assets, including documentation & archive materials, and service contractors for our IT infrastructure.
• Participation with client facing technical and user community support

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will be well versed in C# or VB.Net in a standard MS SQL Server, Windows environment.

The position will suit someone with the background within Development but also have excellent communication skills.
