Calling all Technical Project Managers (Health Care)

** Fully Remote Position

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as a Project Manager.

Supports the VA EHRM Program and the Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) Information Technology Operations (ITOPS) with technical and project management responsibilities. Provides risk management, budget support, meeting facilitation, and resource coordination. Interfaces with business, system owners, development teams, agencies, and joint efforts. Collaborate with ITOPS engineering subject matter experts (SMEs), specifically as it relates to ITOPS engineering and OEHRM SMEs.  Manage Project Actions (e.g., Cost, Schedule, and Risk).  Support Microsoft (MS) SharePoint and other Knowledge Management tools. Provide executive-level project status reporting, including MS PowerPoint and dashboarding. Assist the government Project Manager in management of multiple projects. Coordinates across organization pillars and work efforts. 

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience. An additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
• Experience managing Information Technology related projects. 
• Well versed in lifecycle and project management methodologies.  
• Experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress. 
• Able to identify and mitigate risks
• Experience in related disciplines including network engineering, systems architecture, information security and disaster recovery
• Experience managing IT service and support organizations
• Extensive experience with Microsoft (MS) Office products, especially MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Project

Preferred qualifications:
 

• Knowledge and experience in VA systems, including ServiceNow preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Experience managing a scrum environment preferred
• Experience in the VA, DoD, DHA, VHA
• Experience implementing Cerner Millennium or another Electronic Health Records
• Experience in a healthcare setting
