R&D Engineer

We are working for a leading Tier 1 Automotive supplier in their search for an R&D Engineer for a new arm of their business due to recent growth.

You will design and develop automotive HVAC components and systems supporting new product launch, life cycle management and the continuous improvement of current product competitiveness.

Salary of an R&D Engineer

Up to £40,000

Job Description of an R&D Engineer

• Design & development of Automotive components.
• Conduct development activities to achieve Quality, Cost and Delivery targets.
• Generate, progress and implement product improvement projects.
• Analyse data and report correctly.
• Carry out benchmarking activities for European region trends.
• Network effectively across functions and within the region.

Skills & experience of an R&D Engineer

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the design or testing of automotive or HVAC components.
• An understanding of Automotive Standards including performance requirements.
• Production of design data including the use of NX or CATIA.
• Application of engineering tools and techniques e.g. design FMEA, FTA, etc.
