Our client, a leading air traffic control services provider, is requiring a Project Analyst who has a good understanding and experience of gathering requirements in the early part of the Project Lifecycle and making recommendations through to delivery. You will need to have good business communication skills and you will be working with stakeholders at all levels. And understanding of Service Delivery is also highly beneficial. Role also potentially suitable for a Business Analyst.

Purpose

Within Information Solutions (IS) Programme of Works and for a discrete set of business change-demand at Feasibility and Options stage, this Analyst role will:

  1. Elicit and document the to-be operating state with gap/fit/impact assessment.
  2. Elicit and document all associated functional and non-functional requirements, their criticality rating (MoSCoW) as well as each business customer's rationale for each Must/Should rated requirement.
  3. Gain business customer representative's signoff to requirements documented for their change-demand.
  4. Conduct other, related, activities as defined by the project manager(s).

This Analyst role may be required to undertake deliverables for other, current, project(s) within IS's current Programme of Work.

Accountabilities

Service Delivery and Change Implementation

Responsible for:

  • Managing discrete work packages for the project(s) the Analyst is assigned to.
  • Capturing and analysing requirements to provide solutions for the wider business or in support of IS related activities.
  • Ensuring that any changes to services are adequately tested, managed and implemented against agreed requirements and signed off as fit for purpose.
  • Assisting with the resolution of Service Requests, Incidents and Problems, where appropriate, to ensure the continuity of services and service levels are consistently achieved.
  • Supporting communication of service improvements, changes and interruptions to ensure the user base is kept informed.
  • Coordinating corrective actions and continuous improvement plans, to continually improve the services.
  • Ensuring that all service-related knowledge is digitised and readily accessible for use throughout the life of the service.

Relationship Management

Responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining quality relationships with key stakeholders (including suppliers) to ensure consistent service delivery and identify potential areas for future service development.

Supports the:

  • IS Business Relationship Manager, IS Service Owner, IS Service Designer and IS Service Delivery Manager with the running of the services including business as usual activities, changes and projects.
  • The IS Service Assurance Partner by following due process, reporting any process non-compliance and improvement ideas.

Qualifications, Professional Knowledge and Skills

  • Degree in a relevant Business or IT technical qualification or equivalent of knowledge acquired through experience, other qualifications and training/development.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an IT service management capacity.
  • Understanding of ITIL methodologies and standards (ITILv3 and above, Foundation level) or equivalent framework.
  • Good analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Communicates in a clear and engaging way, both written and verbally.
  • Collaborative working style with a clear focus on delivering outcomes.
  • Experience of working with multiple suppliers in an outsourced environment.
  • An understanding or experience with cloud based infrastructure is also highly beneficial for this role.

Role is working inside IR35, paying up to £400 per day umbrella. Client based in Fareham, Hampshire but with mainly remote work available. Contract for an initial 6 months with extensions possible.
