Job purpose

As the Design Manager you will be working underneath the Regional Technical Director as the design lead on construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.

You will be liaising directly with the client, managing the design process, appointing and managing external design, structural and engineering consultants. You will also be liaising with commercial, preconstruction and production teams providing design expertise and input throughout the project starting from the tendering process.

Experience

The client is looking for a talented Design Manager who has worked for a main contractor previously ideally with commercial project experience. You will have a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering schemes from pre-construction through to completion.

A degree in a design or construction-related field and membership to a professional body is desired but not essential
