  • £50,000 - £55,000
  • Expensed company car or a cash car allowance

Your location: West Midlands, East Midlands, Lancashire, Yorkshire or North East England region

 

Territory: Northern England, Scotland and Ireland

 

 

The role of the Sales Manager will be as follows:

 

  • To focus on generating new business sales in the municipal drinking water and industrial water sector
  • 60% of your time is spent managing and growing £2.9m worth of existing business within the municipal drinking water sector with a targeted 10% YOY growth
  • 40% of your time will be spent targeting brand new customers within the industrial water market sector
  • Selling a range of bespoke process water systems costing between £50,000-£500,000
  • Meeting customers face to face to understand current and future projects
  • Conduct “Lunch & Learn Sessions” with Consultants and Engineers within the water sector to sell the features and benefits of my client’s systems
  • This is a highly proactive new business sales role albeit, with existing relationships, you will be required to sell new technologies to improve their processes
  • Territory planning, client mapping and performing client presentations
  • Develop lead generation plans and a pipeline that delivers new business
  • To receive and qualify RFQ’s, obtain technical information and coordinate all quotes via the internal Application, Sales and Technical Support Teams
  • Lead all price and contract negotiations using a pricing matrix
  • Plan and conduct complex negotiations with new customers
  • Lead and manage all sales and marketing initiatives to promote your business services

 

The ideal Sales Manager will have a combination of the following:

 

 

  • A new business sales professional with a proven track record in new business sales across the municipal, water, wastewater or industrial water market sector
  • A suitable technical qualification is highly desirably but not a deal-breaker
  • EU licence and willing to travel extensively
  • The ideal candidate will live in Birmingham and Edinburgh (East Midlands, West Midlands, Lancashire, Yorkshire, North East and South Scotland)
