Job description System Applications and Products (SAP) Practice own and manage HMRC’s SAP estate, that includes Enterprise Tax Management Platform and SAP systems supporting internal HR and Finance.

We work closely with diverse customer groups throughout the entire lifecycle, from inception of new initiatives, to leading on delivery and improvements to Live Services – all on behalf of our business customers.

The Role

A new, exciting role for a service designer who works with minimal support and can influence, and mentor others is available is within our SAP Practice Service Delivery team

We want you to help us to transform the way we deliver services, so they are more efficient, faster and easier to use.

With responsibility across complex services you will set direction and embed good practice within our teams

You will work with service managers, technology leads, suppliers and change leads to develop design concepts and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities • Support Service Delivery in their transition and service readiness plans for on-boarding of new services/improvement of existing services.

• Lead on the service design of end-to-end journey of the SAP service.

• Make decisions based on research and understand how this research affects others.

• Build and manage relationships with key partners to help customers complete their goals to deliver policy and processes that make a difference to the UK.

• Lead a team who will be responsible for service transition and readiness.

Essential Criteria:

You will already have knowledge and experience of -

• Engaging with diverse senior partners to listen to their needs, facilitate difficult discussions and deliver results.

• Designing systems for use across multiple services, identifying the simplest approach out of a variety of approaches.

• Identifying and implementing solutions for assisted digital.

• Working in an Agile environment.

• Working closely within a group, actively networking with others and varying feedback for the appropriate time to ensure the discussion sticks.

• Identifying problems or issues in the team dynamic and resolving them.

Desirable criteria:

Ideally you will also have experience and understanding of -

• Working in a Live Services environment.

• Different delivery methods.

• SAP.
