Our Tech start Up Client HQ is based in sunny Miami, Florida and hosts the Digital Marketing and Product Development teams. In Moscow, Russia, we have a first-class development operation delivering the very latest technology for our future products as well as additional development and esports operations based in England. Our UK office is based in Hertfordshire

We have several mobile titles in various stages of development and we are looking for a Tech Lead to oversee development efforts across all titles.

As Tech Lead for the division, you will be in close contact with multiple teams working on different types of products and with different technologies. You will review and have significant influence on product roadmap & tech plans and work closely with stakeholders to ensure the projects deliver on company objectives. You’ll seek out and help coordinate opportunities for teams to standardize, share tech, or collaborate in the name of common goals and efficiency. Sometimes you’ll be writing TDDs for a new project or feature. When needed, you relish diving in and getting hands on to troubleshoot or investigate a particular challenge a project may be facing. Often, you’ll choose to contribute code directly to a project. Above all you are always helpful & proactive in supporting the projects through the many technical challenges of game development.

The ideal candidate has experience working on mobile titles in an engineering capacity including as Lead Engineer, feels comfortable guiding teams’ tech decisions, and is looking for an opportunity to step up and have an impact across multiple products at once.

Location:

  • UK
  • Can be performed mostly remote as you will be working with teams across the globe
  • Able to travel to Hertfordshire for monthly leadership in-person meeting days

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with company leadership & production to build the technical roadmap for mobile titles
  • Ensure engineering and technical best practises, coding standards and consistency within all projects
  • Foster an environment that identifies, encourages and rewards technical excellence and collaboration at all levels?
  • Identify & break down risks and blockers
  • Create TDDs for new projects or features
  • Write clear and maintainable code
  • Push for standardization and code reusability
  • Contribute to the hiring process of engineers
  • Support, mentor and provide growth to the team members

Requirements

  • Multiple games shipped on iOS & Android as an engineer
  • At least 1 game shipped as Lead Engineer
  • You worked on a diversity of game systems
  • You consider yourself as a code architect
  • Very good C# proficiency
  • Object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, data processing standard algorithms knowledge
  • Understanding specifics when working with 3D scenes and assets using Unity (animations, meshes, materials, shaders)
  • Experienced with Apple & Android platform libraries (notifications, billing, etc)
  • Comfortable presenting to and discussing with company leadership
  • Competent with version control systems such as GIT & Perforce including resolving complex merges

Bonus experience

  • At least 1 project shipped with Unreal
  • C++ proficiency
  • Experience working on multiplayer games
  • Experience with various industry-standard advertising, analytics, social, customer service, crash reporting, etc SDKs
  • Build machine master
