If you’re after a Technical Architect role that uses all your diverse skills in the tech world that you’ve built up over the years, then this role might be perfect for you.

I’m looking for someone who has come from a development background and who has moved into Architecture.

Importantly, you will be a big microservices proponent, and be able to migrate a monolithic architecture over to a jazzy, modern microservice architecture, and integrate a web front end… This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of responsibilities- they have a wide and varied technical estate, including web and mobile apps, embedded systems, etc. all of which would benefit from improvements for scaling, usability and supporting new platforms.

Ideally, you’ll already be familiar with cloud technologies- AWS in particular would be an advantage as that’s what they are using pretty heavily- and have a great understanding of myriad different technology tools, techniques, and standards to be able to communicate which would work best for the problem at hand, and help/ guide the implementation of it.

If you’ve moved your hands away from the keyboard in recent years, that’s fine, as long as you have stayed up to date with advancements in tech from a high level and can use that to your advantage here; the role doesn’t require any hands-on work, but lots of guiding, collaborating and technical directing.
