Location/ working arrangement; Derby, up to fully remote working options
You’ve probably read hundreds of adverts at this point. I imagine you’re probably fed up of reading what feels like the same thing, over and over again.
So, I’ll keep this one short, sweet and to-the-point.
I am working with a small-medium sized company in Derby that have had some significant funding to move them to the next level of growth and achievement.
They are going through the process of creating new business areas and team structures to support that.
They are creating lots of new roles off the back of this, and it seems really quite impressive.
Long story, short, they need you to help them get to where they need to be.
So, if you are a C# Developer and are looking for a new role that will give you all the good stuff like career progression, a say in how things are developed, interesting work that is valued and needed, working with new shiny tech, full working from home and great colleagues, then please apply for this role- this is what I’m offering you!
However, if you are the type of person that needs lots of established structure and rigidity, then this might not be the ideal place for you.
Because of the new teams they are creating, the freedom to choose an area you feel best suited to- such as integrations or building new stuff- is real, so please let me know if you have a particular preference.
They, like most companies, have some older applications that need supporting by someone, so if you’re happy to do this, then let me know (If you’re not, that’s ok, just tell me). Their older stuff uses tech like; ASP, Webforms, MVC, MVVM, Knockout, Durandal, TSQL, ADO.Net etc.
They adhere to best practices like SOLID principles, design patterns, REST standards, TDD, etc. so it’s important you can do this, too. Got to keep those standards high!
If you want to go into the office at all, they are in Derby. They have free parking on-site, food trucks that come by at lunch time, break out areas with a pool table and Xbox, and beautiful countryside to go and wander in.
If you want/ need to stay at home, that’s ok too- they are happy to support this lifestyle. You will have to go into the office once or twice a month for team meetings, 1-2-1s, etc, so please factor that in.
As they are recruiting a number of Developers, they are looking at all levels of experience; salaries are roughly as follows;
£30k+ range for more junior-level candidates
£40k+ range for mid-level candidates
£45-50k range for senior-level candidates
