Job Description of a Commercial Manager
- Prepare detailed estimates
- Establish and develop close working relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Attend client meetings and provide commercial and technical solutions
- Ensure that enquiries are followed up in an efficient and professional manner
- Balance pricing issues with customer requirements
- Production of cost plans, benchmarking analysis of schemes
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
- Assign and follow-up project actions
- Identify new opportunities and support in the development of bids / tenders
- Supply chain performance management
- Ensure monthly management accounts are reviewed in detail
Skills & experience of a Commercial Manager
- Extensive knowledge and experience of estimating
- Be commercially savvy
- Effective analysis skills
- Good communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving ability
