We are currently recruiting for a fast growing UK fire and security company who are looking for a Stores Administrator to work in their Wymondham head office.

The position would initially understudy, support and learn from the Stores Supervisor. Contact with the engineers may be necessary, from time to time, but this would not be the primary function. Your reporting line will directly to the Stores Supervisor Team Leader.

In order to be successful, you will be happy to work within a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience of a stores role would be useful, although not a requirement.

The use and understanding of I.T. packages such as Microsoft Office Word and Excel would be a requirement.

Training on the use of stock bespoke software package will be provided

The ideal candidate will be organised with the ability to work on an individual basis as well as part of a team and be willing to learn new

Duties include:

  • Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded and that the relevant paperwork is matched to the order.
  • Responsibility for the acquisition, receipt, storage and issuing of materials.
  • Operating a minimum/maximum stock level to ensure Company’s daily usage is available from stock
  • Making up material shipments/dispatch for issue to Service installing engineers on a timely basis.
  • Taking responsibility for a company’s freight and assets by reporting any suspicious activity at work
  • Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures
  • Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
  • Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
  • Completing weekly inventory stock checks and reconciling physical counts to computerised records.
  • Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules
  • Assisting with warehouse inventory controls
  • Treating merchandise with care and concern at all times.
  • Deputising for the Stores Supervisor, in their absence.

Benefits include: Salary ranges £21K raising to £23K if targets are met+ 21 days annual leave (Increases up to 25 dependent on time served) + 8 statutory holidays (An extra day on your birthday!).
