Senior Development Transport Planner - London - Up to 48k

We are proud to be working with a global Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy who have a first-class reputation in the Transport Planning sector. They are looking to reinforce their presence in the London office and are seeking a knowledgeable Transport professional to join their busy offices, situated within a short distance from Waterloo Station itself.

The Role

This position will be based in our client's Major Developments & Events team which supports a wide range of high-profile developments and sporting events including the House of Parliament, Wembley Stadium, Canary Wharf and Battersea Power Station.

In this position you will be delivering a wide range of Transport Planning focused work including the project management and delivery of transport and development planning advice which will include the production of Transport Statements/Assessments and Travel Plans. You will also work closely with clients advising them on servicing, parking, cycle/pedestrian access and traffic management issues.

Experience/skills required

You will work as part of a team providing solutions to both private and public sector clients. This position requires an enthusiastic, hard-working person, who wants to be part of our growing, dynamic team. In this role, you will be required to:

Support our client's transport planning offering across the company both in the UK and internationally.

Lead workstreams within projects with supervision, ensuring that best practice techniques are applied consistently.

Deliver high quality highway and transportation advice as part of multi-disciplinary teams across a range of transport related projects including major developments, highway-related regeneration projects and sustainable transport initiatives.

Deliver excellent joined-up and high-profile major development and high-profile event projects in the UK, which contributes to the company's reputation for delivering excellence.

Manage multi-disciplinary projects, sub-consultants and manage support staff assigned on a project basis as required.

Take responsibility to deliver key tasks with a range of projects.

Prepare and present reports, proposals, briefing notes and transport planning documentation.

Manage project budgets exercising effective financial and budgetary control.

Contribute to the production and delivery of proposals and marketing materials related to our market area from time to time.

Take part in training to develop both your technical and consultancy skills.

Essential attributes in the role will include

Be comfortable working in creative multi-disciplinary teams with architects etc. and provide positive contributions.

Demonstrate a good track record of delivering transport planning deliverables for planning applications and major events (desirable).

Demonstrate strong analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven project management/delivery experience in a consultancy environment.
