Our water industry client has an opportunity for a Water Resource Planner to join their Havant based Water Resource team.


The role will report to the Water Resource Manager and will involve working closely with other departments internally as well as with other water companies and consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver our clients' new drought plan
  • Ensure the delivery of an existing water resource management plan
  • Support the development of a new water resource management plan.
  • Help to develop sustainable water source solutions with climate change, environmental pressures and population growth in mind.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of an improved capability for water supply-demand planning (including internal and regulatory targets)
  • Responsible for the development, coordination and review of the company's water resources strategy to satisfy EA, Natural England (NE), Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) and government policy on environmental regulation.
  • Responsible for supporting best practice in water resource management planning in accordance with complex and regulatory guidance and the preparation of submissions to the Regulators that are both persuasive and effective in securing company objectives.

Qualifications

  • A science, engineering or other environmental subject degree is required.
  • A Masters degree in relevant discipline is desirable.
  • The successful candidate will be collaborative by nature and passionate about engaging with customers.
  • Strong data set management and presentation experience
  • Ability to plan and deliver projects to time and manage to budget.

Benefits

  • Salary up to £31k-£38k DOE
  • Holiday entitlement of 27 days plus bank holidays (increasing by one day a year to 32 days after 5 years. Plus 1 additional day awarded if no sick days are taken in the previous year.)
  • Pension contributions - employer will double employees contribution. ie. 5% =10%
