My client has a global presence recognised across 100 countries and they continue to invest into their state-of-the-are plants with new machinery and CI projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking a Monday – Friday position who likes to be involved in projects, CI and enjoys keeping the CMM system up to date. The site is extremely varied so you can expect no two days to be the same and to learn a side spectrum of different machinery.

You will also be responsible for all mechanical work including replacing gearboxes, shafts, pulleys, and bearings. You can expect to work on production machinery such as: mixers, conveyors, fillers, multi head weighers, pumps, labellers, and ink jet printers. You can expect to work in a close-knit team where you will be supported on breakdowns and projects. During your shift you will be give PPM’s to be completed by the end of the week.

The candidate

This position would suit a more mechanically focused Maintenance Engineer with an interest and understanding of electrical work/principles and components. To be the successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will need to hold an apprenticeship or City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. It would be advantageous to hold FMCG experience.
