We are seeking a Folder Gluer Operator with immediate effect for our ever growing client based in Hertfordshire.

THE ROLE

• Setting up, running and operating VEGA folder-gluer machinery
• Ensure the output is up to the usual speed and quality
• Ensure the end product is produced to the specification required
• All paperwork is completed

• Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times
• Ensure all preventative maintenance targets are achieved
• Attend appropriate production meetings as required
• Working with the Production and Shift Managers and other colleagues to address issues on the lines
• To train colleagues as required to fulfil the business needs

THE PERSON

• Experienced in a similar role using folder-gluer machinery (ideally VEGA or similar)
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask
• Strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
• Strong understanding of the carton making process
• Good understanding of quality standards
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, meet deadlines and handle a wide variety of responsibilities
• Demonstrates satisfactory working relationships and show respect for colleagues
• Maintains an acceptable work rate and completes duties in a timely way
• Works additional hours, if required, in order to discharge the company’s obligations to its customers
• Attends team briefings and training as required
• Has good attendance and timekeeping

SHIFT PATTERN

The shift pattern is day shifts and regular overtime is available, from 2022 the shift pattern will go to double day shifts.

SALARY

The salary for this role is up to £26k based on experience, plus overtime. Realistic earnings circa £35k. Plus benefits.
