Salary of a Logistics Manager

Up to £45,000 depending on experience

Job Description of a Logistics Manager

Responsible for organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and despatch of warehoused goods while leading and coaching a team of 6. 

Daily tasks will include planning, co-ordinating and monitoring the receipt and dispatch of goods, keeping stock control systems up to date and ensure inventories are accurate as well as recruit, train staff and then monitor their performance and progress.

Management of offsite storage, coordinate the delivery of raw materials to the production line and attend production / management meetings.

Skills & experience of a Logistics Manager

The successful candidate will have a minimum 5 years’ Operational, Logistics and Warehouse experience and hold relevant management qualifications will give an immediate advantage.

It will also be important to have knowledge of and involvement in Brexit implications, practical knowledge and application of SAP, knowledge of UK & European import/export of goods and involvement /experience: Lean/FIFO/Stock management/Stock Check.
