Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be someone with prior experience in sustainability (CO2-reduction, water/electricity management) Alternatively willing to consider an experienced Project Manager who is willing to take on the sustainability aspects.

The role is offered on a PAYE or UMB basis.

PAYE £17.09-£19.05+ Holiday Pay. (Rates due to increase in 2022)

UMB £21.89-£24.47 (Rates due to increase in 2022)

The Planning & Sustainability Advisor is a technical expert utilised to deliver real estate provision projects with focus on sustainability topics such as Long Term Maintenance Strategy and CO2-reduction. You will work within a project team and be in close coordination with a variety of internal / external clients, suppliers and process partners.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Development and delivery of infrastructure improvements and projects to ensure the facilities are fit for future use and optimised over the full life-cycle, within agreed objective and budgets.
  • Analyse / evaluate infrastructure risks and challenges / minimize risk for utility supply.
  • Evaluate the age and condition of infrastructure.
  • Develop technical specifications to deliver compliant & sustainable infrastructure for future product & business requirements.
  • Lead of Development CO2 Roadmap / sustainability (in project management role)
  • Leading of sustainability projects as part of realization of CO2 roadmap for Facilities Management for example for CO2 reduction measures
  • Development of Long term Maintenance Strategy for building related assets and infrastructure
  • Establish and manage a multi project steering in the real estate provision process.
  • Ensuring transparency of the status of individual projects by means of traffic lights, these are in particular SAZ / costs, milestones/dates, quality criteria and risk management
  • Monitoring of data quality in project management tool
  • Prepare transparency about external contracts and set up of early warning system for projects

The following qualification would be beneficial:

  • Relevant experience in all aspects in a Building / facility engineering capacity (preferably manufacturing).
  • Experience in dealing with planning authorities.
  • Strong background in facility management / energy management in a corporate, complex business environment
  • Degree in Mechanical, civil or electrical Engineering beneficial
  • competences and experiences in quality and performance management and a broad knowledge about financial processes
  • Experience in site service operations and project management
