Interim Contracts Manager needed in Enfield paying £350 per day PAYE Ref: 471887

This role is working full time hours on a temporary basis

Responsibilities:

  •  Ensure that all contractors engaged for compliance, mandatory and routine tasks are managed appropriately in line with the contract terms they have agreed to, including agreed service level agreements and key performance indicators. That all identified risks that are to the detriment of the pre-planned maintenance tasks are solutioned through. To effectively manage reactive works ensuring that value for money and customer service is at the forefront of every decision. To create and manage a plant room check programme utilising local plant team situated at the Authorities Headquarters, and were necessary, deploy for reactive attendances locally. In addition, manage a service desk, including out of hours call management
  • Develop and manage the Risk and Issues Register ensuring that the risks are costed and mitigated to the lowest possible level that the Authority can accept. Alert your line manager of any adverse situations and the solutions available to mitigate negative situations. Continual update of the Risk & Issues Register managing residual risk where an original risk has been recognised
  • Full responsibility and accountability for managing the maintenance and reactive budget, maximising value for money. Monthly capital and revenue expenditure monitoring and forecasting profit and loss to meet the corporate monitoring calendar. Manage and control all aspects of the accounting process from setting up the supplier to receipting invoices and monitoring payments to suppliers
  • Develop effective relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external to the Authority, and to ensure that the Authority’s maintenance programme and lifecycle management is robustly managed effectively in order to ensure compliance is achieved. To formalise reporting mechanisms that ensure all stakeholders are regularly updated on compliance performance and reactive SLA’s. To liaise with construction project managers to ensure focus on quoted works related to the Authority’s asset repairs and lifecycle programme
  • Provide a detailed monthly report that demonstrates contractor and direct labour performance utilising agreed management information that provides an overview of all performance criteria related to compliance
  • To develop and review a strategy collaboratively with the head of service that ensures local compliance and adequate maintenance of the Authorities corporate estate and public properties
