Would you be interested in the opportunity to work in a complex and challenging role and play a key part in improving the availability of one of the largest Defence programmes today? If so, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join our Service Delivery Team, supporting the RAF fleet of A400M aircraft.

The A400M Service Delivery Team contribute to the support of in-service requirements and monitor all aspects of Supply Chain Management (SCM) performance whilst identifying opportunities for improvement and initiate corrective action where necessary. In this dynamic role, you will be empowered to contribute to inventory optimisation initiatives and develop SCM strategies where possible.


Your main responsibilities will include:

* Engage with key stakeholders and agree required service levels within own area of responsibility
* Monitor supply chain effectiveness and carry out the Inventory management of A400M spares such as: airframe, engines, aircraft ground equipment and specific to type containers
* Carry out range and scale reviews and effectiveness reporting of all parts held forward in the UK
* Identify Supply Chain risks to A400M availability and ensure optimisation of spares holdings for both forward and depth maintenance to improve the forward available fleet
* Certify that sufficient aircraft ground equipment has been provided to the contractor for completion of all scheduled maintenance activities, as part of government furnished equipment end to end management
* Ensure materiel and financial accounting activities are conducted in accordance with policy and process
* Develop the supply support plan to include process maps for raising repair purchase orders and processing beyond economic repair quotes
* Attend engine support contract meetings (both global and national) to raise and monitor supply chain risks/issues as required

What you will be assessed against

To be successful with your application you must demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:

* Have significant experience of working at an operational level in a large, highly complex organisation within a range of supply chain management disciplines
* Have experience of managing inventory and delivering continuous improvement
* Education to post-graduate qualification level or have equivalent experience appropriate for a Subject Matter Expert

It will also benefit your application if you are able to demonstrate the following desirable criteria:

* Experience in the use of MOD ILOG systems
