Our water industry client is looking to recruit an Estimator to work within their infrastructure/developer services team based out of Havant.

The candidate will be deliver a high level of customer service to developers and contractors and will be self-motivated with the ability to organise workloads across a number of workstreams to deliver against demanding targets and service level agreements.

Reporting to the Senior Contracts Engineer, you will provide cost estimates and assist designers in the development of schemes for new mains on development sites, mains diversions and network reinforcement projects

This is a challenging role and you will be required to develop and manage effective relationships with external stakeholders and other departments within the business whilst demonstrating a pro-active approach to health and safety in line with our clients' core values of excellence, respect and integrity.

This is a junior/entry level position for someone looking to progress within water/utilities.

Responsibilities

  • Receive applications and review site data and reports to inform strategy, modelling and constraints.
  • Assist in the development of project scope and build robust cost estimates for the design of new developments and water mains diversions.
  • Ensure that all the necessary details, consents and approvals are available for legal services to produce deeds of grant.
  • Provide accurate parts list from designs and work with suppliers to order pipes and fittings
  • Complete re-measure of projects and arrange refunds or requests for additional payment from customers

Qualifications/Experience

  • Excellent written, verbal and IT skills
  • Ability to deliver a high level of accuracy.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
  • Drive to promote and implement process improvements.
  • Proficient in the day to day use of IFS in relation to project creation and financial control
  • Experience in scope development, project planning and design review for best value options
  • Experience of the accurate identification of materials for water networks.
  • Degree level or equivalent in an engineering/construction discipline
  • Hold effective functional relationships with internal and external customers

  • 24 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing by 1 day for a full years service for 5 years.
