Job description To undertake all administration processes to process applications and produce new and replacement HMRC ID and Common Civil Service Passes for all HMRC staff, OGD staff and contractors located in HMRC buildings in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
As our Pass Production Team Assistant Officer you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• To undertake all administration processes for local security systems: site access control system and vehicle passes.
• Accountable for managing own time and the systems and tools to deliver agreed objectives and business targets on time to the required standard of quality
• Demonstrate the expected Civil Service competences and behaviours
• Work and collaborate with others to achieve the team objectives
• Analyse and review information to inform and assist decision making
• Identify and work on continuous improvement, recommending improvements to managers and colleagues and implementing changes when agreement is reached
• Identify risks and concerns, deciding on actions to put in place to mitigate them. Decide when to escalate risks and concerns to ensure managers are appropriately informed
• Deciding when and how to seek advice from my manager, colleagues or other expert sources, acting on advice and instructions.
• Deciding what information must be captured and in what format in relation to own work area
• Provide accurate and relevant information to resolve queries or issues
• Provide administrative and technical support to the O Band manager
• Complete associated filing and administration for ID and Building Cards
• Administer the local access control system to enable/disable access rights for individuals to specific rooms, in line with operational managers instructions
• Comply with all current HMRC Data Security rules in all aspects of the work
• Keep up to date with developments and changes to security procedures
• Give accurate advice on ID and Building Cards to customers when required
• Ensure relevant information is shared with the whole team when appropriate


Essential Criteria


• Good organisational ability
• Experience of working as part of a team in a busy service delivery environment
• Good IT skills including Office 365, specifically excel
• Experience in inbox management
• Evidence of a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• In order to carry out this role you must be able to pass SC level security checks once in post.
