Our client is a global name in packaging brand design. Due to some serious growth in some of their existing clients they need 2 experienced project managers to join the team.

 

A project management position where strong previous experience of multiple line project management is key. Based at the client site 2/3 days a week (rest wfh), the successful candidate will work along side the packaging team within the client’s busy trading category.

 

This full time and demanding role requires an individual with high level proven presentation and communication skills, who can illustrate their experience in cradle to grave project management, with an ability to work in the FMCG sector.  Preferably you are already from either the retail / FMCG markets or print / packaging industry.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

Client Management

 

  • Build and sustain strong relationships within the Category teams.
  • Work as a liaison between leading design agencies and categories
  • Establish and maintain a strong client relationship. Act as a point of contact for client personnel assigned to project ranges within your control.
  • Keep abreast of trends in the retail market and how they may affect the client. Be commercially aware and responsive to client needs.
  • Attend client and supplier studio tours as required. Assist the Account Director with presentation of the artwork and repro process.
  • Be able to troubleshoot issues and keep the client updated of any corrective action.

 

Range Management

 

  • Own and be responsible for ensuring that all artwork projects are managed in a professional manner.
  • Be able to run high profile projects and pillar brand redesigns.
  • Create and manage critical paths according to the clients launch schedule and knowledge of print lead times.
  • Manage design and clinic forums for projects within your control, for new ranges and re-designs.
  • Build a relationship with leading design agency contacts. Ensure that cutters are sent in a timely fashion.
  • Arrange and attend pre-production meetings with suppliers, printers, client and pre-production technician. Ensure any concerns with the printability of the design are discussed.
  • Brief artwork using the client PLM systems.
  • Arrange and chair artwork sign off meetings.
  • Provide status report to Client / Suppliers & Printers on a weekly basis, either 1:1 or via conference call.

 

 

Information Management

 

  • Raise any issues whether client, production or team related, to the Account Director.

 

Team Management

 

  • Be a positive and calming influence in the team and ensure that team members maintain a professional attitude.
  • Assist the Account Director to mentor and train new team members. 
  • Build a strong relationship with the extended team at the studio.
  • Buddy team members for holiday and sickness.

  • Experience of industry web based briefing and approval systems.
  • Knowledge of print or repro.
  • Knowledge of design, retail, brand and packaging.
