Chef / Cook – children’s Play Centre - £12.00+ per hour , 42 - 45 hours per week - £28,500 per year +
Catermatch Solutions require a Chef or Cook to work and manage the catering operation within a local children’s play school, catering for children ages 6 months-8yrs, plus adult mums, dads, family members and carers. As the main chef you will be required to produce dishes from fresh ingredients catering for different dietary needs. Working hours will be from 9.00am starts and 6.00pm finishes Wednesday to Friday. Up to date Food Hygiene and current DBS Preferred but not essential.

Job description 
Preparing fresh hot and cold meals, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, daily specials and baked goods, produced from all fresh ingredients daily. Following dietary requirements, allergens and daily due diligence, store delivers, cleaning down and pot wash. Maintaining the standards set out by the company and interacting with fellow team members on a daily basis. 

Main duties include:

• Prepare and cook fresh food from scratch using fresh produce
• Ensure all food/ meals are produced on time
• Prepare food in accordance with all guidelines and legislations
• Ensure that the kitchen, equipment and utensils are all properly cleaned and correctly stored away
• Responsible for the presentation of all produced and served
• Work to respond to changing dietary requirements
• Monitor and organise stock levels at all times
• Ensure that deliveries are met and are promptly stored away as appropriate
• Serve the pupils food in accordance to the schools portion control
• Maintain temperature control standards for all food
• Ensure that all personal and food hygiene procedures are applied at all times

Required experience 
Previous catering experience and qualifications, health and hygiene certificates and experience within a kitchen/environment is required.
