Special Processes Manager - Blackburn area
3-6 month contract
£35p/h - £40p/h DOE (Ltd co. outside IR35 suitable)
Aerospace / manufacturing / engineering / Quality / NADCAP
I am working with a key client in the Blackburn area, who are a world leading manufacturer of components and structures to the Aerospace sectors. They are looking for an experienced Special Processes Manager, to look after key clients and the progress of their orders, through supply chain and manufacture.
For this position of Special Processes Manager, you will require to conduct the following duties:
v Conduct internal audits to NADCAP accreditation
v Review processes across special treatments, i.e., NDT, Paint, welding etc as well as composites
v Recommendations to improve to meet external audit
v Facilitate changes to meet standards across processes and cross functional teams
v Responsible for communicating with all key stakeholders, internally and external auditors etc
v Ensure ‘buy in’ from the teams, with backing from Quality Manager and Head of Engineering
v General improvements from a quality perspective where necessary
The successful person will need to have the following Special Processes/Quality attributes:
v Ideally HNC Aerospace/Engineering manufacturing or related Quality/Audit background
v In-depth understanding of NADCAP within special treatment processes
v Good facilitator to get things done to required accreditation
v “Hands on” approach with cross functional teams / manufacturing etc
v Quality professional, strong audit experience
v Excellent communication skills
v Strong I.T. skills – Outlook / MS Office / MRP etc.
