Solution Architect/Solution Design Architect 6 Months Initially - £625 a day
Skills required:
The role requires knowledge of leading on Solution Design.
This role has an overall understanding of technology strategy, vision, designs and delivery mechanisms such as existing suppliers, outsourcers, etc; It does not have to be a technical architect or an administrator but requires a good understanding and knowledge of technology designs.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the PwC delivery team and our client to supports the iterative development and closure of the Design Solution;
- Coordinates the provisioning of necessary inputs from our client, where needed within this work package, to PwC so that the team can perform their duties;
- Provides knowledge around our clients current structure and architecture setup ;
- Provides existing architecture references, functional and non-functional frameworks and Client governance frameworks for technology, acting as a link to SMEs within the Client site;
- Helps to remove obstacles that arise during design phase representing ownership and accountability;
- Attends the daily stand ups and any other relevant forums to enable decision-making process;
- Iteratively reviews the outputs (as they develop) and supports the team in obtaining approvals from signatories (may involve co-ordination with other SMEs);
- Assists/support CEDAR and CODA ERP functionality assessment and works with the PwC delivery lead to identify and define alternatives;
- Data analysis required for IFRS 9/17 regarding availability and sourcing;
- Contributes to and represents the Client for the rapid vendor selection;
- Contributes to the key data deliverables - Data Catalogue, Conceptual Data Model and High-Level Logical Data Model;
- Provides input to security architecture required for the target architecture;
- Provides data governance standards, non-functional requirements, working day timetable, security requirements, performance requirements;
- Facilitates specific environment strategy inputs and designs;
- Understands and guides the team on escalation mechanisms both within the program and with to close any outstanding issues to completion;
- Helps in transition of design documents in to following implementation phases and eventually in to BAU by working with service design, support teams, etc;
- Works to the Design Authority in seeking approval of data design deliverables;
- SPOC (Single Point of Contact) with responsibility of identifying and reaching out to internal resources / suppliers to support the project on a consultancy basis;
- Supports also activities across work packages in particular the Data Solution;
