Job description Our Business Event Centre (BEC) Receptionist will provide a professional front of house reception service which coordinates all bookings within the BEC guaranteeing best use of the facility. Ensuring that the area is set up and ready for business allowing customers of the facility to focus on delivering their key objectives.

You will consistently review standards, approaches, processes and BEC usage and share best practice with the rest of the team. You will also provide the highest levels of customer service in all aspects of the role and strive to continually provide a quality service over and above the customer’s expectations.

You will work with the team ensuring customers receive a high standard of service. This will include facilitating events or conferences for up to 100 persons, ensuring the BEC is presented and maintained to the high standard it seeks to achieve whilst leading the team.

Responsibilities As our Business Event Centre Receptionist you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Ensuring the smooth, efficient and professional running of the BEC and that customer expectations are met or exceeded, going the extra mile on all occasions.
• Performing ‘Head of House’ duties with attention to detail and resolving issues with speed and integrity.
• Proactive engagement with customers holding large events/conferences making suggestions, offering advice and designing bespoke meeting room set-ups.
• Liaison with on-site contractors and Housekeeping staff to ensure the centre is maintained to an excellent standard.
• Creating quarterly reports on customer feedback and cost-effectiveness of the centre.
• Ensuring BEC Website is maintained and updated.
• Ensuring BEC Business Continuity Plan and Business Impact Analysis is accurately maintained
• Conducting regular Fire Drills to ensuring the Health & Safety of both staff and visitors is maintained and protected


Essential Criteria:

• Excellent and proven personal and communication skills (both written and oral) are required for this post.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Word and Excel
• Outstanding Customer Service skills
