Passenger Assistant needed in Wakefield £9.43 per hr PAYE - Reference: 0005 390A / 1

 This role will involve:

• To meet and board the vehicle each morning, at a pre-determined meeting point, before the first pupil passenger is collected.
• Ensure that at each appointed stopping place children board safely and that they are correctly seated before the vehicle begins to move. On arrival at the school ensure that the children alight in a safe manner and that they enter the school safely and are met by an appropriate member of the school staff.
• Ensure children alight safely at their appointed stops and are received by their parent, or other responsible adult at the end of the school day
• To assist children on and off the vehicle and be responsible for the safety of the children during the journey and ensure that harnesses, special seats and seat belts where fitted, are used as appropriate.
• To be responsible for the good behaviour and conduct of the children so ensuring that the driver is unhindered in his duties.
• Ensure that any request from parents/headteachers/contractors regarding possible changes to journeys and any problems which are encountered on the journey, are reported immediately to the Transport Team. Any such changes will require the authorisation of the Transport Team.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis
