As our incident control and business continuity manager you will have day-to-day responsibility for the Regional Centre's incident control and business continuity readiness in line with departmental standards.

You will also be a key figure in responding to any incident that occurs.

Responsibilities As our Incident Control & Business Continuity Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Providing assurance that all HMRC Lines of Business (LOB) and Other Government Departments (OGDs) hold up to date Business Continuity Plans
  • Ensuring Estates Building Continuity Plans are in place and tested regularly
  • Supporting the wider team to carry out other tasks to contribute towards the day to day operations of the Estate, including responding to customer enquiries, maintaining processes within the building, i.e., locker management, visitor process, maintaining signage etc and any other tasks directed by the Building Manager or Head of Estate
  • Participating in and being available for the Estates Team On Call Rota

Essential Criteria


Previous recent experience in incident management and / or business continuity.


Essential Qualifications

If not already held, you must be willing to obtain Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) or equivalent Business Continuity qualification within 24 months.

Working Pattern

To achieve our Customer Service ambitions the successful candidate for this vacancy will be expected to work full-time, in a flexible way. This would see staff routinely working Mon-Fri but allow flexibility for evening work up to 8pm and occasional Saturday work in line with business need.

In addition to this, you will need to be available for out of hours ‘On Call’ as needed in order to respond to any incidents.
