Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Role Profile:

• An expert in test automation, the role develops and establishes test automation frameworks whilst ensuring best practice coding and knowledge sharing are adhered to
• Focusing on the how a product works, the role applies a depth of knowledge to design, implement and execute tests associated to non-functional quality characteristics (e.g. Reliability, Usability, Performance efficiency, Maintainability and aspects of security)
• Ensures software product risks are identified, assessed and mitigated appropriately and iteratively throughout the project
• Operating within an agile environment, the role implements and allows others to follow appropriate agile testing techniques and approaches such as Continuous Testing

Typical Deliverables:

• Creates test cases through in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability)
• Creates traceability records, from test cases back to requirements
• Produces test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services
• Ensure test conditions, objectives are reviewed and signed off by the Product Owner or Business Analyst
• Identify test condition dependencies and pre-requisites to inform environment, management and data requirements
• Specifies requirements for environment, data, resources and tools
• Interprets, executes and documents complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards
• Records and analyses actions and results
• Reviews test results and modifies tests if necessary
• Provides reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project
• Reports on system quality and collects relevant quality metrics
• Provides specialist software testing and QA advice to support others

• ISTQB Foundation Level
• ISTQB Agile Tester
• ISTQB Agile Technical Tester
• Jest
• Typescript

Desirable:

• Design and execution of data driven, key word driven test automation scripts
• Test automation coding standards adoption
• Transitioning manual testing assets to automation test assets
• Verifying test automation suites
• Test planning and estimation
• Test monitoring and control
• Reporting and metrics
• Defect and root cause analysis
• Black box, experience-based and white box testing techniques
• API testing
