Assistant Production Manager

Location – Sittingbourne, Faversham, Rainham, Ridham

Salary £35,000 - £42,000 plus bonus and benefits

A national group of companies that hold a strong position in the UK heavy-side marketplace, turning over in excess of £230 million and still being privately owned. This company is a well recognised national brand.

This company has strengthened its proposition to the marketplace and are now adding this Assistant Production Manager for succession planning due to retirement of the current manager in the next few years.

The role

To ensure that all operations are controlled to a high standard producing quality products and handling material in a safe, professional, and timely manner in line with company policies and procedures.

To assess and manage risks to ensure protection of safety, health and the environment.

To manage operational activities and transport allocation to maximise profitability.

To plan and ensure available raw materials so that all operations are undertaken in accordance with both future and immediate needs.

The candidate

• Your experience will come from a manufacturing environment
• Strong health and safety experience
• People management experience
• Knowledge of budgets and P&L
• Being a part of a team that delivers capex projects
