Supplier Quality Engineer

Due to the growth and success of our market-leading products, an opportunity is available to join the team in a newly created Supplier Quality Engineering position.

As it’s a newly created role you will have the opportunity to really make a difference and impact on supplier development and quality by working with the senior engineer to build a close working relationship with a broad base of electronic to mechanical suppliers based mainly across the UK.

With a proven background in Manufacturing / Production (ideally within an electro-mechanical or mechanical manufacturing environment, although other related industries such as pharma or food also considered|)  as Supplier Development Engineer you will have responsibility for:

• Building strong relationships with new and existing suppliers and conducting regular supplier visits

• Providing support to the Purchasing team with new supplier sourcing and selection

• Working with and developing poorly performing suppliers

• Supporting Engineering with complex supplier issues

• Support to New product introduction projects liaising between all departments within cross functional teams, encompassing: acting as representative for the business for New Product Introduction, conducting readiness reviews with suppliers for all new projects

• Embedding process and / or product change into the supply chain

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a production / quality Engineering background with an interest in  supplier quality / supplier development , ideally with some prior auditing skills. Full training and development will be offered for the right individual.


The ability to support change in the supply chain and support the team to build strong relationships essential.

This is a highly varied, customer facing role which necessitates both strong people and quality skills.
