My client are a leading global precision engineering company who are involved with high level manufacturing and many innovative technical projects.  Our client design, develop and deliver solutions and systems that provide unparalleled precision, control and reliability engineering. The business are urgently seeking an experienced Electronic Design (VHDL/FPGA) Engineer to join their ever-growing team. 

The duties will be: -

You will be building an extensive knowledge of the CMM current products, their design, capability, use, and manufacturing processes

Working closely with others to undertake continuous improvement activities to mitigate future quality or supply chain risk whilst realising efficiency gains and cost reduction

Design activities to improve key indicators such as quality, cost, reliability and longevity in response to issues identified by process partners and customers

Ensure products conform to the latest regulatory guidelines, with support from the internal Compliance team

Work on multiple projects simultaneously and allocate time appropriately

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience or part there of: - 

A degree or HND in a relevant engineering discipline

2 - 15 years of VHDL / FGPA experience

Ability to read, understand and fault-find electronic circuits

Ability to select appropriate substitute components for existing circuit designs

Practical electronic circuit prototyping skills

Ability to communicate well with colleagues in a range of different job functions

Ability to record concise and accurate design information

At least 2 years of experience in an electronic design and manufacturing environment

A UK driving licence as travel to other sites will be required at time

 

In return our client is offering:-

£30k - £55k (DOE)
