£20,000 pro rata. 20 hours/week

Free city centre parking, free fruit on Wednesdays!

Are you an experienced Administrator with a ‘make things happen’ attitude?

Are you wanting to be a key part of something embryonic rather than just another employee number?

Do you want a genuine input into how things are done rather than working for someone who’s ‘always done it this way’?

Are you comfortable with supporting the team with ad-hoc tasks which aren’t on the Job Description?

Do you want to work in a niche sector, in a vibrant working environment where the Managing Director is a passionate expert in his field?!

If so, we’d love to talk to you…

We are a growing start-up, having invested heavily in a brand new R&D lab at DOCK, we have ambitious plans for the future. Crucial to our short, medium and long term growth plans will be You, our first ever hire as our Office Administrator.

You’ll be given a wide range of duties and responsibilities which for the right candidate will continue to grow over time. The initial objective of this role is to take off the administrative weight off the shoulders of our Managing Director.

Day to day duties from filing and keeping products in order to ordering and maintaining healthy levels of consumables, ensuring we have all the correct PPE to answering Phones (occasionally) and generally making sure our lab is in tip top shape, our customers could come in at the drop of a hat and it’s key they’ll be impressed upon their visits!

Alongside ordering products you have to ensure they’re paid for, signed for, put in the right place and then reconciled using our book keeping software.

It’s key you can evidence following and creating processes. You’ll need a keen eye for detail and be flexible and comfortable with change. We are a small business and as well as reward, with growth often comes growing pains.

We have interns and work experience staff in and out from time to time so you’ll need to supervise them in my absence. Ideally this role will start Part-Time (c.20 hours a week) with the role evolving, during busy periods more hours may be required.
