Our client is a well-established and respected printing manufacturer based on the Halesfield Industrial Park, they are a long-standing firm who offers great development opportunities including NVQ’s and offer a career pathway. They produce products for their clients from brochure printing to large format digital printing.

Job Purpose

To ensure that all work is processed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the customer’s requirements, the Company’s Production Schedules and standard operating procedures (SOP’s). To direct, monitor and support the day-to-day performance of the Machine Assistants and by doing so instil a heightened awareness of their production performance in relation to the work being produced. ALL TRAINING PROVIDED IN-HOUSE.

Duties

-To maintain, control and adjust equipment (folding, guillotine, stitching or binding) in order that it performs to specification.

-To provide support on a day-to-day basis to the Machine Assistants so that they carry out their designated duties in a timely and accurate way.

-To undertake self-checking of all work produced to ensure that the printed material and related products are defect free and confirm to the required specification.

-To undertake any other duties or responsibilities commensurate with this role.

Shift Patterns

These are continental shifts, 4 days/ nights on, 4 days/ nights off. The rotas are given in advance to give as much notice as possible. There is overtime available.
