Full time hours on a temporary basis and subject to enhanced dbs check.

The rota is 11am - 7pm - Monday to Thursday and Friday is 7am until 2.30pm.  There is opportunity for some flexibility in this rota should it be required.

The client are prepared to negotiate market rates for the role.

We are looking temporary cover by a catering supervisor at an Outdoor Centre.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about fresh food, great service and children and young adult’s health and wellbeing.

Working as part of the catering team, the Catering Supervisor will have the responsibility for managing a great team in all aspects of our busy kitchens.

This will include stock control and ordering, general kitchen duties, food preparation, service and record keeping for a number of meals per day. We have groups of between 30 and 85 staying for 3-5 days, so the role would involve providing a simple buffet lunch of sandwiches, cake, fruit and salad, a two-course set evening meal plus catering for any special dietary requirements. There will also be one breakfast, which comprises 2 hot elements and toast/cereal.

There will be a cook and catering assistant in the team.

 All-round catering experience is required with good communication skills. Working to pre-planned menus, it is essential that potential candidates possess an awareness of portion and cost control.

Ideally you will be qualified to City & Guilds 706/1 level/NVQ Level II or have relevant experience, with a sound knowledge of Health & Safety and possess a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
