Funding Officer needed in Gosport, Hampshire paying £21.51 per hr PAYE ref: 5196492

This role is full time on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities:

• The Funding Officer will identify and develop opportunities to secure external funding meeting the priority investment areas of both the Client and its strategic partners. A lead role will then be taken in developing a response to such opportunities, pulling together appropriate in-house and external partnerships and working through these to develop high quality bid responses meeting funder requirements
• The Funding Officer will work with the Economic Development and Regeneration Manager in developing partnership and portfolio funding bids for the economic growth and regeneration of Gosport through proactively fostering mutually beneficial relationships at senior level with external partners and community stakeholders

• To develop innovative and creative bids or applications on behalf of the Borough to secure funding to ensure the Client's priorities in areas such as business support, sector development, heritage, place-making and with a particular emphasis on physical and economic regeneration are taken forward

•  The ideal candidate will have knowledge of public sector funding matters in terms of policies, procedures and mechanisms, especially in relation to economic regeneration
