As a Learning Experience Specialist, you will be passionate about creating high impact and engaging learning experiences for colleagues. You will work collaboratively to create exceptional, modern, blended learning solutions and programmes which are effective, provide a great experience and are rooted in a deep understanding of how people learn. Building upon a strong expertise and passion for technology-based learning, you will help us shape how we engage learners more effectively and innovatively whilst delivering learning which is just-in-time. You will have a key role in advancing our approach to digital learning by advising on tools and platforms, evaluating needs, embedding learning in the flow of work, curating content, and creating custom content.

Responsibilities • Create and advise on the development of high-impact, engaging, blended, multi-media learning experiences (including immersive learning) and identify innovative technology solutions which support these.

• Partner learning and capability teams and subject matter experts to understand target audiences, learning needs, and to develop learning objectives, solutions and content.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest thinking, innovations and best practice in learning and continuously find and recommend ways to improve learner experience across the whole organisation.

• Evaluate the impact of learning, gathering data and feedback to generate insights to improve learner experience.

• Lead, undertake and evaluate pilots to test new content or approaches to learning and participate as a member of multi-disciplinary project teams.

• Lead and advise on developing approaches to content curation, development and management which empowers and encourages learners to take charge of their own development (e.g. through personalised content or gamification).

• Actively contribute to shape the design of new features and enhancements to our learning platforms and tools, support the development of digital learning strategy and advise as subject matter expert on contents, media, delivery formats, and technology.

• Coach and mentor colleagues and undertake line management duties as required.

Essential Criteria

You are required to demonstrate experience of the following within your application:

• Depth of experience in learning and development and experience of designing and evaluating high impact learning experiences and blended, multi-media pathways.

• Experience of instructional design, learning content curation and embedding learning in the flow of work.

• Demonstrable focus on ‘learner experience’ and creating innovative, engaging learning solutions.

• Knowledge of adult learning theories and methodologies and putting these into practice.

• Creative thinker with a passion for quality and an eye for detail, design and presentation.

• Passionate about Learning trends, tools and innovations and how these can engage learners and provide a great experience.

• Experience with content management systems or other state-of-the-art tools and learning technologies.

• Expert communication, presentation and facilitation skills, able to convey powerful messages, shape thinking and to design and lead facilitated discussions and workshops.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of working in a project or programme management environment.

• Experience of developing immersive learning experiences.
