Job Description:

We are looking for a customer service focussed, methodical Contract & Product Administrator to work within a busy sales department for one of our fantastic clients based in Smethwick, Birmingham.  The successful candidate will be a significant part of the contracts and administrative functions of a well-established, automotive remanufacturer, who are one of the European Leaders in the automotive parts business.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day account management and the administration of the Birmingham branch contract customers, so someone who possesses an excellent telephone manner and efficient time management skills is essential. You will also be a front-line liaison between the customer, their requirements, and internal operations, so you will also need fantastic communication and interpersonal skills.

 

The role will see you carrying out the following duties (but not limited to):

  • Respond to contract customers’ requests for quotation and ensure timely turnaround
  • Provide customer acknowledgement of schedules, and ensure effective two-way communication throughout
  • Answer customer enquiries in an effective, efficient, and professional manner
  • Carry out regular contract reviews with the customer, ensure up to date depository of reviews held per customer
  • Attend regular production meetings, ensuring focus on contract customer deliverables and commitments
  • Escalate delivery impacts ASAP to line management
  • Ensure accurate updates to customer order delivery status
  • Raise any concerns with line manager as and when necessary
  • Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as requested by the line Manager, and/or Directors
  • Provide ideas for continuous contract customer experience improvements

 

We are looking for someone who has proven, successful experience within administration.  Specific contracts administration and familiarity with the use of an electronic parts catalogue is not essential, however, it would be advantageous. The role is a full-time, permanent position and is looking to offer £26k depending on experience, to work Monday-Friday, 8:00am-17:00pm.
