Project Support - Contract & Bid - 12 month contract - Samlesbury - £27.84ph UMB or £22.00ph PAYE (Inside IR35)

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.

Security requirements: SC

This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC and you must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period. Job Description

  • The role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of projects and providing bid support to the USP Development bid activities
  • The individual will be required to apply effective application of project management tools and techniques, in compliance with lifecycle management and the operational framework. This will require day-to-day interface with multiple functional representatives from both the UK and US-based teams along with our customer and industry teammates.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Ensure Project Performance Reporting for the monthly reviews are provided in line with the business review cycle to provide clarity on progress through key metrics and visible controls to assist business decision making
  • Work closely with the wider team to ensure bids are supported and key activities are completed to plan and key information is created, provided, and fully bought off within the team.
  • Maintain a data trail from bid through to Performance Measurement Baseline setting
  • Support the Development Business Status Review and maintain a topical tracker of status of the Bids in line with business toolsets.
  • Provide SSR related outputs into the wider team to support regular financial reporting and accurate forecasting.
  • Support and adhere to the LCM framework and principles on contracts that require application of the process.
  • Ensure key risk and opportunities are identified within the toolset and topical mitigation actions.
  • Support IBP to ensure contractual demands are reflected into the demand input that impact the relevant business areas.
  • Promote best practices and process improvement through sharing with and seeking best practices from others to learn and adopt theirs.

The Individual Requirements

Essential

  • Proven working knowledge and/or experience of; project management, project control principles, CSR/SSR processes, or lifecycle management application
  • General understanding of the IBP planning process, associated resource management and financial control processes
  • Demonstrable experience of excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate in a matrix organisation construct, being able to interface with stakeholders of all levels and skills.
  • Proven ability to efficiently and effectively use data to develop insightful management information
  • Proven experience of using Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Project, Word, Excel and/or PowerPoint

Desirable

  • Background knowledge and/or experience in project delivery / bids and proposals
  • Proven knowledge of risk and opportunity management processes and application
  • A formal project management qualification (APMP, PMQ, PMP or Prince2)
  • Proven experience of people management/team leadership
