Job Title - Quality Engineer

Salary – £38-42K

Location – Stockton-on-Tees

Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer

  • Support New Products Introduction and Advanced Product Quality Planning
  • FAIR completion & submission in accordance with AS9102
  • Development of final inspection plans
  • Generate PPAP documentation to support existing and new customers
  • Support engineering and operations in product quality improvements, focusing on scrap and rework, working to 'right first time'
  • Non-conformance investigation, root cause analysis and reporting
  • Maintain and update control plans, PFMEA and inspections plans as part of the close out process.
  • Host internal, customer and 3rd Party audits for special processes and other specific approvals
  • Assist in the training and development of Quality Assurance staff
  • Review measurement reports in line with customer acceptance/deviation permit limits & advise on disposition
  • Raise and submit concessions & deviation permits to customers as & when required

 

Skills & Experience of a Quality Engineer

  • Previous experience in Automotive or Aerospace engineering
  • Knowledge of AS9100 standards
  • Engineering Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or relevant Engineering discipline preferred, or qualified by experience
  • Technical HNC/ ONC qualified preferred
  • Experience with 8D/ Root cause analysis
  • Six Sigma experience desirable
