Project Manager

An exciting new opportunity for an experienced Project manager has arisen to join and lead the PM side of a logistics software solution company based in Bracknell. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Product and Tech Teams you will ensure that their clients experience a seamless and bespoke implementation of their projects and upgrades.

This is a key role in the delivery of their service and you’ll be working hard to identify and react to problems before they happen. The Project Manager will be proactive in planning and managing the implementation of major projects that they partner with their clients on as well as strategic internal projects.

You will be responsible for leading on all the strategic delivery of projects, internal and external as well as developing the Project Team through the introduction of standard project controls and tasks. This is a strongly customer facing role and as such the Project Manager will be expected to have excellent stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning and coordination of all aspects of new and current client implementation projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Explore and structure the project needs, resourcing, capacity and other issues of clients through discussion and workshops and translate all elements into well formulated, bespoke project plan
  • Conduct research on the needs and issues of clients through discussion and workshops to translate their requirements into well formulated, bespoke project solutions
  • Support project team members with project activities designated by senior management
  • Present findings and recommendations using business proposals and presentation decks
  • Close interaction with clients through regular project updates and networking
  • Demonstrate quality delivery through receipt of positive client feedback
  • Participate in Business Development initiatives with the wider senior management team
  • Management and control of the budget and finances for all projects
  • Management of Risk, Assumptions and Dependencies through regular project plans updates
  • Ensure product and technical teams are fully aware of what needs to be delivered and when
  • Perform regular follow up with teams on deliverables, both internal and external, informing and updating the project plans as needed
  • Develop, define and oversee execution of project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
  • Liaise with product development, sales, client relationship teams, technology solutions, service delivery and/or other cross-functional teams.
  • Lead, develop, mentor and grow the Project Management team
  • Identify project management coordination process gaps or areas for improvement, recommend and implement solutions.
