Job Description:

Role: Maintenance Engineer

Package: Up to £48k + OT + Training

Shifts: 4 on 5 off and 5 on 4 off days and nights.

Location: Milton Keynes

The Company

My clients are a leading automated systems integration business within the warehouse industry. Along with being a high-speed, high-volume manufacturer over more than 20 years in the industry they have developed some of the latest automated technology for product storage, retrieval, and distribution alongside maintenance of these systems.

The company are a very cash rich business and are currently heavily reinvesting into the site in Milton Keynes with a £15 million expansion underway. Not only do they believe in heavily investing into the business, but they also maintain the same expectation with their engineers with training courses and development readily available. This has created a great opportunity for a maintenance engineer to join the team and further develop their career in a stable and rewarding environment, while working with the latest in automated systems. Included with this role is a clear path for progression, training, and development.

The Role

This maintenance engineer role will involve:

  • Reactive and PPM work on various state of the art automated systems such as conveyors, belts hanging garments, robotics, and shuttles.
  • Electrical responsibilities including fault finding and working with sensors, relays, contactors, and control panels along with swapping like for like components.
  • Mechanical responsibilities include replacing like for like components such as valves, pumps, bearings, belts, hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, and rollers.
  • Working on a shift pattern of 4 on 5 off, 5 on 4 off which allows for 2 weekends off a month.

The Candidate

To be successful in the application for this maintenance engineer role you will need:

  • Recognised mechanical or electrical qualification.
  • Confidence in fault finding on electrical and mechanical components.
  • To work well within a team.
  • Be flexible to work 12-hour shifts, days, and nights.
