Agile Recruit are currently searching for a Remote AWS DevOps Engineer for our Research Client.

This position is required to have a deep technical knowledge of digital business, digital trends, enablement technologies, execution methodologies, cloud platforms and design patterns.

You will be accountable for solution design, automation of development processes, application availability and for ensuring the health of the development tool chain. In order to succeed in this role, the following is required:
 

• Clearly understands the strategic direction and vision of the digital products
• Is an advocate of the Agile principles and practices within the organization
• Focus is primarily on enabling innovations through the digital channels and digital capabilities. These include Web, Mobile Apps, Office 365 amongst other digital platforms
• Able to prioritize workload and tasks within the broader context of the digital deliverables – specifically working closely with Product Owners, Application Analysts, Development Teams and other stakeholders
• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
• Capacity Planning and Load Testing
• Strong experience with Terraform & React Front End
• Automating development processes
• Measuring KPI’s in order to reduce failure rate, shorten the lead time to delivery, increase releases to PRD and improve recovery time
• Ensuring architecture principles are defined and adhered to
• Support Technical Leads to ensure best practices are followed and technical debt is kept under control.
• Aligning / collaborating with Enterprise Architecture, Operations and Security

Core Skills (Should Have)

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Jenkins
• AWS certification
• Experience with Graph QL & Python
• Appsync experience would be beneficial
• Demonstrable experience within Cloud over a period of time
• Experience of Cloud computing models
• Networking knowledge for private-public cloud setups in AWS
• Automating or scripting the creation of cloud assets

Core Skills (Nice to Have)

• Atlassian Tools, DevOps, Application Architecture, AWS Cloud Computing, AWS Fargate, Infrastructure as Code and Infrastructure Automation
• Self-directed and able to independently define tasks and make decisions necessary
• Agile principles with a strong focus on Scrum framework as well as the principles of Kanban and flow
• Innovative Thinker with the ability to think outside the box
• Good oral and written communication
• AWS Certification
