Role: Sign Maker / Installer

Salary: £23K-£25K depending on experience

Location: Cardiff

My client is a well-established sign manufacture and branding specialist company with an enviable reputation built over the last 20 years. We provide a range of services and products in support of visitor centres, events and wayfinding activities and working on behalf of high-profile clients across the UK.

They now have a great opportunity for a Sign Maker / Installer to work with our in-house production division where you will work in a high energy and modern environment, and within a supportive team.  You will be provided with the opportunity to progress your career and develop your knowledge of their sign making and production processes, whilst working with individuals who are highly focused on achieving high quality standards and efficiency measures.

The Role involves:

Handling various materials including acrylics, metals, foam core and aluminium composite materials.

Being responsible for positioning, aligning, and assembling sign components and parts - using adhesives, bonding agents, and mechanical fixings.

Installation of LED lighting and various alternative methods of providing illumination

What they need:

• Experience of working with saws, a variety of power and hand tools, industrial adhesives/bonding agents.
• Ability to interpret briefs accurately and understand signage and manufacturing techniques
• Computer Literacy
• Understanding of industry standard design software such as Adobe Illustrator
• Ability to adapt to new techniques & machinery easily

Non-essential but advantageous requirements

• CSCS Card qualification
• Manual handling and abrasive wheels training
• First Aid at work training
• Driving license
