Job description It is an exciting time to join TA’s Digital Learning Design team as it expands in the next financial year to meet ever growing demand from customers.

This is a high-profile post in a rapidly changing and creative environment. In TA, senior Managers work collaboratively with their teams and other learning delivery colleagues, to prioritise and meet learning delivery requirements.

We are looking for someone with proven experience in digital design/development and IT platforms within the learning environment. We are also looking for someone who will line manage their team which may change or grow as TA expands.

Our successful candidate will have a clear understanding of how digital technology shapes our future and knows what current and future technological learning solutions are available.
The successful person will have a creative mind who is always looking to improve existing products/solutions, whilst ensuring our customers’ needs are fundamental to design.

We work with many important stakeholders, who often have differing needs. In this role you will offer high quality support and advice to our stakeholders to ensure we produce the right learning products.
The role involves working in partnership with TA Leads, Managers and Developers, providing guidance on IT systems/platforms. Responsibilities This is an exciting and varied role covering a wide range of responsibilities which include (but are not limited to):

• Apply your learning expertise and knowledge of digital technology to identify opportunities in learning and development.

• Support and develop your colleagues to ensure they take a proactive approach and are enthusiastic to the use of technology. Analyse new ideas, complex technical and business issues to formulate resolutions.

• Work with learning communities and the business to improve learning solutions and exploit technologies and platforms. Actively seek out, champion and offer recommendations on new learning methodologies and tools.

• Support the production process, design and structure of digital solutions and learning products.

• Establish and develop relationships with a network of diverse partners known as partners. Communicate clearly and regularly using the appropriate media. Pitch ideas to senior leaders to gain buy in and provide updates on issues affecting service and delivery.

• Plan and prioritise projects, delivering through others and setting clear direction for planning using project management methodologies.

• Manage the development of IT solutions to ensure they are delivered effectively, driving continuous improvement, and constantly evaluating impact. Lead in delivering and onboarding new services or upgrades in live environments.

Essential Criteria

You are required to demonstrate experience of the following within your application:

• Stakeholder Management - developing sustainable relationships with a range of internal and external customers.

• A demonstrable understanding of modern learning tools/methods and how they impact the end user experience.

• Digitally confident with a clear understanding of how digital technology shapes our future, embedding the key concepts of modern learning. Experience with IT systems/platforms including but not limited to Office365.

• Capable of managing projects to meet business requirements and deadlines.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient with an active interest in technology, technical delivery and problem solving. Practical knowledge and experience of building and supporting digital solutions.

Desirable Criteria

• An understanding of Tax Academy’s learning offer, business areas and product catalogue and a working knowledge of Kallidus and the administrative process. Experience of the power platform and how this can be used to improve systems/processes and learning solutions.

• An agile mindset and experience working in agile environments.

• Experience of drafting and delivering effective communications.
