The expectation of this role is to support the Project team by providing the technical skill set requirement below: -
Proficient in the use of CAD systems, NX6 / CATIA
Perform all tasks allocated within his/her capability within the field of Mechanical Development engineering, carry out all work undertaken with efficiency and accuracy while maintaining accurate records.
Operate in accordance with the Product Introduction Process (PIP) and attend the necessary design/CCB reviews.
Operate in accordance with agreed processes, with all deliverables being to the designated agreed standard.
Support the Lead Engineer, Programme Manager and Product Line Leader to ensure the technical integrity of the product and that it meets all performance, reliability, cost and safety requirements as defined.
Comply with relevant regulatory requirements pertaining to the work programme.
To work with the project team supporting the work package owner associated with the project delivering the elements listed below: -
Support of new cost down/re-industrialisation activities with activities including, but not limited to, reviewing change requests from prospective casting/machining suppliers, creation of design schemes and drawings for test article definition.
Produce relevant review/update documentation and hold/participate in reviews as needed in accordance with best practice and format.
Implementation of PRs/ECRs in support of legacy product improvement as defined by project priorities.
On demand support of concession and permits to support product delivery.
