Lead Process Surveillance Engineer

Reporting to the Asset Reliability Manager, you will be responsible for driving the improvement in the reliability of the business' assets through comprehensive data analysis, legislative compliance monitoring and proactive asset optimisation in collaboration with operations and maintenance teams.

* Champion proactive operator led maintenance strategies informed by regular monitoring of asset performance, asset information review, asset surveillance and KPI trending.
* Assess the effectiveness of reliability and statutory maintenance activities
* Champion legislative compliance in the following areas: COSHH, OSR, LEGIONNELA; periodically review changes in legislation including new legislation.
* Appraise the effectiveness of site-specific asset care plans and lead on the development of dashboards that highlight asset performance to relevant stakeholders.
* Extract long range trends from proactive analytics tools to ensure broad context is analysed and understood, deploy insights acquired to articulate performance improvement plans.
* Adopt FMECA, RCA and RAMU assessments to drive improvement in asset performance and apply industry standards and best practices in day-to-day asset engineering activities.
* Articulate whole life cycle costs and apply this in the development of business cases, provide process operations discipline input to asset integration activities.

Skills & Competencies
* Experience in analysing, designing, operating, maintaining, managing or constructing assets
* Able to prioritise, manage own time efficiently and meet work targets / deadlines
* Capable of effective cross functional stakeholder engagement
* Flexible approach to work with an engaging personal style
* Logical and analytical with excellent planning skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge Qualifications
* Knowledge of operational processes in the water industry etc

Risk & Compliance
* Identify risks and articulate resolution plans
* Understand statutory requirements
* Minimum ONC or OND in process operations or equivalent relevant industry experience

* Engineering degree
* Membership of a professional institution
