Tutor needed for a special needs school in Sunderland

A special needs school based in Sunderland are looking for a Tutor who is able to teach a range of subjects from primary level up to secondary level (entry level to level 3).

The children and adults who attend this school are aged between 16 and 25 years old and have Autism.

This is a full time position that is ongoing with the potential of becoming permanent.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and hardworking individual and someone who has extensive experience working with Autistic students.

To be part of this team you will ideally need to have: 

• A PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent level 5 teaching qualification
• Experience providing intervention support
• Experience tutoring primary and secondary aged students  
• Previous special needs experience, preferably Autism
• A resilient character  
• The ability to adapt to challenging situations
